Introduction Trafficflowmanagementisanessentialcomponentofmodern-daytransportationsystems.Microscopictrafficsimulationmodelshavebecomepopularinthetransportationengineeringcommunitygiventheirabilitytosimulateindividualvehicletrajectoriesandvehicleinteractionswithinthenetwork.Thesesimulationmodelsrequireasetofparameterstoaccuratelypredicttrafficpatterns,traveltimes,andcongestion.Parametercalibrationisanecessarystepinanytrafficsimulationstudy,anditiscrucialtoensurethatthemodelcanaccuratelyrepresentthereal-worldtransportationnetwork.
