Introduction Steelbarsarecommonlyusedconstructionmaterialsforreinforcedconcretestructuresduetotheirhighstrengthandductility.However,thequalityofsteelbarscanvarysignificantlydependingonvariousfactorssuchaschemicalcomposition,productionprocess,andheattreatment.Themechanicalpropertiesofsteelbars,suchastensilestrength,yieldstrength,andelongationatfracture,areimportantindicatorsoftheirqualityandperformanceinconstructionapplications.Therefore,itisessentialtoidentifythefactorsthataffecttheperformanceofsteelbarstoensuretheirqualityandsafetyinconstruction. Inthisstudy,weusedstepwiseregressionanalysistoidentifythefactorsthatsignificantlyaffecttheperformanceofsteelbars.Atotalof50steelbarsweretestedfortheirtensilestrength,yieldstrength,andelongationatfracture.Thedatawerethenanalyzedusingstepwiseregressionanalysistoidentifythefactorsthathaveasignificantimpactonthemechanicalpropertiesofsteelbars. Materialsandmethods Materials Fiftysteelbarswereselectedforthisstudy,whichweremanufacturedbydifferentcompaniesandhaddifferentchemicalcompositions,productionprocesses,andheattreatments.Thechemicalcompositionsofthesteelbarsweredeterminedusinganopticalemissionspectrometer.Theproductionprocessesandheattreatmentswereprovidedbythemanufacturers.
