Waveletdenoisingisapowerfulsignalprocessingtechniquethathasbeenwidelyusedinvariousfields,includingimageprocessing,speechrecognition,andsignalanalysis.Waveletdenoisingisbasedonthedecompositionofthesignalintodifferentfrequencycomponentsusingthewavelettransform.Itcaneffectivelyremovethenoiseinthesignalbythresholdingthewaveletcoefficientsatdifferentlevels.Waveletdenoisinghasbeenappliedtobuildingdeformationmonitoringwithconsiderablesuccess.Inthispaper,wereviewtheapplicationofwaveletdenoisinginbuildingdeformationmonitoringandproposeacombinationmodelthatcombineswaveletdenoisingwithKalmanfilteringtofurtherimprovetheaccuracyofdeformationmeasurement.
