Abstract:Withthecontinuousexpansionofurbanareas,theproblemoflanduseconflictandenvironmentaldegradationhasbecomeincreasinglyprominent.Thedelimitationofurbangrowthboundarieshasbecomeanimportantmeanstoguidesustainableurbandevelopment.BasedontheanalysisoftheecologicalandresidentactivitycharacteristicsofJinanCity,thepaperusedthelandscapeecologicalindexmethodandthekerneldensityestimationmethodtodelimittheurbangrowthboundaryofthecity.TheresultsshowthattheurbangrowthboundaryofJinanCityismainlyconcentratedintheurbanfringeandtheareaswithhighecologicalsensitivity.Theboundarycaneffectivelycontroltheurbansprawl,protecttheecologicalenvironmentandimprovethequalityoflifeofresidents.

Introduction
Urbanizationisanirreversibletrendintheprocessofsocialdevelopment.Therapiddevelopmentofurbanareashasbroughtconveniencestopeople'slives,butithasalsocausedmanyproblems,suchastheconflictoflanduseandthedegradationoftheecologicalenvironment.Therefore,thedelimitationofurbangrowthboundarieshasbecomeanimportantmeanstoguidesustainableurbandevelopment.Theurbangrowthboundaryreferstothedelineationofthespatialscopeofurbandevelopment,beyondwhichtheurbanconstructionisprohibitedorstrictlycontrolled.Itisanimportantmeasuretocontrolurbansprawl,protecttheecologicalenvironmentandimprovethequalityoflifeofresidents.
JinanCityisthecapitalofShandongProvinceandanimportantregionalcentralcityinChina.Ithasauniqueecologicalenvironmentandrichculturalheritage.Withtherapiddevelopmentoftheeconomy,theurbanareaofJinanCityhasundergonerapidexpansion,andtheconflictbetweenurbandevelopmentandecologicalprotectionhasbecomeincreasinglyprominent.Therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetodelimittheurbangrowthboundaryofJinanCitybasedonecologyandresidentactivityspace.
