Introduction Therapidurbanizationhasledtothetransformationoftheurbanenvironment,causingproblemssuchaslanddegradation,ecologicalimbalance,andlossofculturalheritage.Amongthesechallenges,theoptimizationofurbanlandscapepatternisacrucialtaskinurbanplanningandmanagement.Thelandscapepatternisanessentialelementofurbanmorphologythatreflectsthespatialdistributionofnaturalandhuman-madeobjects,includingbuildings,openspaces,waterbodies,andgreenery.Byimprovingthelandscapepattern,theurbanenvironmentcanbeenhancedwhilepreservingitsecologicalandculturalvalues. ThecityofLiuanislocatedinthecentralregionofAnhuiProvince,China.Asarapidlydevelopingurbancenter,Liuanfaceschallengesforoptimizingitslandscapepatternwiththeincreasingdemandforurbanization.Inthisstudy,weaimtoanalyzetheurbanlandscapepatternofLiuan,identifytheinfluencingfactors,andproposemeasuresforitsoptimizationbasedontheprinciplesofecologicalconservationandculturalheritageprotection. Methodology ThisstudyusesGIStoanalyzethelandscapepatternofLiuananditsinfluencingfactors.Thedatasourcesincludesatelliteimages,land-usemaps,elevationmaps,andotherspatialdata.Weclassifiedtheland-usetypesusingasupervisedclassificationmethodandcalculatedlandscapemetrics,suchasthelandscapediversity,fragmentation,andconnectivity.Toidentifythefactorsinfluencingthelandscapepattern,weusedamultipleregressionmodeltoexploretherelationshipbetweenthelandscapemetricsandtheenvironmentalandsocio-economicvariables.
