Introduction Pipelinesarewidelyusedfortransportingoil,gas,andotherfluidsinvariousindustries,suchaspetroleum,chemical,andnaturalgas.Pipelinefailuremayleadtoseriousconsequences,includingenvironmentalpollution,personnelinjury,andeconomicloss.Corrosionisoneofthemajorproblemsthataffectthesafetyandintegrityofpipelines.Corrosioninpipelinescanbecausedbyvariousfactors,suchasthecorrosivenessofthefluid,theoperatingconditions,thematerialproperties,andthedesignfeatures.
