基于DMSPOLS夜间灯光指数的浙江GDP空间化 1.Introduction Inrecentyears,theuseofnighttimelightdatahasbecomeanimportanttoolforstudyingthespatialdistributionofeconomicactivities.TheDefenseMeteorologicalSatelliteProgramOperationalLinescanSystem(DMSPOLS)providesanunprecedentedsourceofnighttimelightdatathatcanbeusedtoexamineeconomicactivityatahighspatialresolution.OneimportantapplicationofDMSPOLSdataistoestimatethespatialdistributionofGrossDomesticProduct(GDP)atasub-nationallevel. ThisresearchfocusesonthespatialdistributionofGDPinZhejiangProvince,China,basedonDMSPOLSdata.ZhejiangisadevelopedprovincelocatedintheeasternregionofChina,withawell-developedeconomyandavibrantprivatesector.Assuch,itprovidesaninterestingcasestudytoexaminetherelationshipbetweennighttimelightandeconomicactivity. 2.DataandMethodology 2.1Data TheDMSPOLSdatausedinthisstudyweredownloadedfromtheNationalOceanicandAtmosphericAdministration(NOAA)website.Thedatacovertheperiodfrom2012to2016,andwereprocessedintoannualaveragenighttimelightcompositesforeachyearusingtheRasterpackageinR.Inthisstudy,weusedthestablelightsproduct(version4)torepresentthestablecomponentofnighttimelightemittedfrombuilt-upareas. GDPdatawasobtainedfromtheZhejiangStatisticalYearbook,whichprovidesannualdataonGDPforeachadministrativeregionintheprovince.Duetodataavailability,weusedGDPdatafortheyear2015intheanalysis. 2.2Methodology TheDMSPOLSdatawerefirstfilteredtoremovepixelswithlowsignal-to-noiseratioandthoselocatedinwaterbodies.Next,thedatawereconvertedintoacontinuousluminancevalueusingthecalibratedradiancevaluesprovidedinthedata.Thecontinuousluminancevalueswerethenrescaledtoarangeof0to1tofacilitatecomparisonbetweendifferentyears. ToestimatetherelationshipbetweennighttimelightandGDP,weusedalinearregressionmodelwithGDPasthedependentvariableandnighttimelightastheindependentvariable.Wealsousedaspatiallagmodeltoaccountforspatialautocorrelationandtoexaminethespatialdistributionofeconomicactivity.
