Introduction Trussstructuresareoneofthemostcommonlyusedstructuralsystemsincivilengineeringduetotheirhighstrengthtoweightratio,stability,andeaseofconstruction.Acantilevertrussstructureisatypeoftrussstructurethatiscommonlyusedinbridges,buildings,andotherinfrastructureprojects.Thecantilevertrussstructureconsistsofahorizontalmembersupportedatoneendbyaverticalmember,whichinturnissupportedbytwodiagonalmembers.Thehorizontalmember,orthecantilever,isusedtospanadistancewithoutanysupportfromtheotherend. Theperformanceofthecantilevertrussstructureiscriticalforensuringthesafetyandstabilityoftheinfrastructureproject.Therefore,itisnecessarytoconductathoroughanalysisofthecantilevertrussstructureundervariousloadingconditions.Thefiniteelementmethodisawidelyusednumericaltechniqueforanalyzingthemechanicalbehaviorofstructures,andAbaqusisoneofthemostpopularfiniteelementsoftwarepackagesavailable. Inthisstudy,theperformanceofthecantilevertrussstructureunderdifferentloadingconditionsisanalyzedusingAbaqus.Thestressdistribution,deformation,andsafetyfactorofthetrussstructurearedetermined.Thefindingsofthisstudycanprovidevaluableinsightsintothedesignofcantilevertrussstructures.
