Theresultsrevealedthatthecucurbitpowderymildewfungicouldbeclassifiedintothreephysiologicalraces.Race1wasthemostfrequent,andwaspresentinallregionsofHeilongjiangProvince.Races2and3werelesscommon,andwereonlypresentincertainareas.MoleculardiversityanalysisbasedonDNAsequencingrevealedthepresenceoftwogroupsoffungi,onedominatedbyPodosphaeraxanthii,andtheotherbyGolovinomycescichoracearum. ThisstudyprovidesimportantinformationonthediversityanddistributionofcucurbitpowderymildewfungiinHeilongjiangProvince,whichcanbeusedforthedevelopmentofeffectivemanagementstrategiesforthedisease. Introduction Cucurbitsareanimportantgroupofcropswitheconomicandnutritionalvalue,whicharewidelygrowninmanyregionsoftheworld.However,cucurbitcropsareoftenaffectedbyvariouspestsanddiseases,whichcanresultinsignificantyieldlosses.Powderymildewisacommondiseaseincucurbits,whichiscausedbyspecificfungithatcaninfectvariouspartsoftheplant,includingleaves,stems,flowers,andfruits.Thesymptomsofpowderymildewincludetheformationofwhitepowderypatchesontheinfectedplantparts,whichcanspreadrapidlyandcauseseveredamagetothecrop.
