Introduction: Soilorganiccarbon(SOC)isthelargestterrestrialcarbonstockandplaysanessentialroleinmaintainingsoilhealthandecosystemfunctioning.Itisparticularlyimportantinforests,whichcoverasignificantproportionofthelandareainZhejiangProvince.UnderstandingthespatialvariabilityofSOCinforestsandidentifyingtheinfluencingfactorsarecrucialforsustainableforestmanagementandcarbonsequestration.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethespatialpatternsofSOCinZhejiangProvince'sforestsandtoidentifythekeyfactorsthatinfluenceitsdistribution. Methods: 1.Soilsamplecollection:XXsoilsampleswerecollectedfromXXforestsitesacrossZhejiangProvince.SamplesweretakenatadepthofXXcmusingasoilauger.Thesamplesweretransportedtothelaboratoryforfurtheranalysis. 2.Soilanalysis:TheSOCcontentineachsoilsamplewasdeterminedusingastandardlaboratorymethod,suchastheWalkley-Blackmethod.Othersoilproperties,includingpH,soiltexture,andnutrientcontent,werealsomeasured. 3.Climatevariables:Climatevariables,suchastemperatureandprecipitation,wereobtainedfromlocalmeteorologicalstationsorclimatedatabases.ThesevariableswereusedtoassesstheirpotentialinfluenceonSOCdistribution. 4.Vegetationcharacteristics:Vegetationdata,includingforesttype,standage,andabovegroundbiomass,werecollectedfromfieldsurv
