Thispaperpresentsareviewofthecurrentstate-of-the-artinthenumericalsimulationsof3Dunsteadyflowaroundwings.First,abriefintroductiontotheimportanceofunsteadyflowonwingaerodynamicsisgiven.Then,thenumericalmethodsforsimulatingunsteadyflowaroundwingsarereviewed,includingthefinitevolumemethod,panelmethod,andspectralmethods.Next,theeffectofwinggeometryontheunsteadyflowisdiscussed,includingtheeffectsofwingcamber,sweep,andaspectratio. Finally,thepapersummarizestheimportantfindingsfromrecentstudiesonunsteadyflowaroundwings.Theseincludetheeffectsofturbulenceintensity,frequency,andangleofattackontheunsteadyflow,aswellastheformationandsheddingofvortices.Thepaperconcludesthatfurtherresearchisneededtofullyunderstandthecomplexandvariedaspectsofunsteadyflowaroundwings,aswellastodevelopaccurateandefficientnumericalmethodsforsimulatingsuchflows. Numerousstudieshavebeenconductedtobetterunderstandtheunsteadyflowaroundwingsusingbothexperimentalandnumericalmethods.Numericalmethods,suchasComputationalFluidDynamics(CFD),havebecomeincreasinglypopularduetotheirabilitytopredictcomplexunsteadyflowphenomenaandprovidedetailedflowfieldinformation.
