山区中职学生英语自主学习能力培养研究 ResearchontheCultivationofIndependentEnglishLearningAbilityofVocationalStudentsinMountainousAreas Abstract Inrecentyears,withtherapiddevelopmentofsociety,theimportanceofEnglishhasbecomeincreasinglyprominent.Asafundamentalcourseforvocationaleducation,Englishhasalwaysbeenanimportantaspectofstudent'sacademicabilities.However,duetofactorssuchasgeographiclocation,inadequateinfrastructureandshortageofteachers,vocationalstudentsinmountainousareasoftenfacedifficultiesinEnglishlearning.Therefore,itisnecessarytoexploreeffectivemethodstoimprovetheindependentEnglishlearningabilityofvocationalstudentsinmountainousareas.ThispaperdiscussestheproblemsandstrategiesincultivatingtheindependentEnglishlearningabilityofvocationalstudentsinmountainousareas. Keywords:independentlearningability;vocationaleducation;mountainousareas;English Introduction Theindependentlearningabilityisanimportantaspectofvocationaleducation.Itreferstostudentstakingresponsibilityfortheirownlearningprocess,makingdecisions,settinggoalsandactivelyengaginginself-learningactivities.Withthedevelopmentofsociety,manyjobsrequireabasicproficiencyinEnglish.Therefore,learningEnglishhasbecomeanimportantobjectiveofvocationaleducation.However,vocationalstudentsinmountainousareasfaceanumberofchallengesthatimpacttheirEnglishlearningability. ChallengesinCultivatingIndependentEnglishLearningAbility 1)InsufficientEnglishlearningresources Inmountainousareas,therearenotasmanyresourcesavailabletostudentsasinurbanareas.ThisincludesEnglishtextbooks,dictionariesandotherteachingmaterials.Withlimitedresources,studentsareunabletogainacomprehensiveunderstandingofthelanguage,andmaymissimportantinformation. 2)Lackofinfrastructure Theinfrastructureinmountainousareasisnotasgoodasinurbanareas.Inmanycases,electricityandinternetconnectionscanbeweakornonexistent.Withoutthesebasictools,studentsarenotabletoaccessonlinelearningmaterialsandresources,makingitdifficultforthemtolearnandstudy. 3)ShortageofEnglishteachers Duetogeographical
