Thevirtualrealityroamingsystemhasmanytechnologicalchallenges,suchashowtocreaterealisticimmersiveenvironments,howtocontrolusermovement,andhowtointeractwithvirtualobjects.Inordertosolvethesechallenges,manykeytechnologiesneedtoberesearchedanddeveloped.Thispaperfocusesonexploringthekeytechnologiesofvirtualrealityroamingsystem,whichcanprovideareferenceforfutureresearchanddevelopment. [ConceptandClassificationofVirtualRealityRoamingSystem] Virtualrealityroamingsystemreferstoavirtualrealityapplicationthatsimulatesarealenvironmentandallowsuserstomovefreelyinit.Accordingtothelevelofimmersion,virtualrealityroamingsystemcanbedividedintoimmersivevirtualrealitysystemandsemi-immersivevirtualrealitysystem.Immersivevirtualrealitysystemisavirtualenvironmentthatcompletelyreplacestherealenvironment,andtheuseriscompletelyimmersedinit.Semi-immersivevirtualrealitysystemisavirtualenvironmentthatpartiallyreplacestherealenvir
