基于以太网的OAM控制平面的模块设计 Abstract EthernetOperations,Administration,andMaintenance(OAM)controlplaneisanessentialcomponentofareliableEthernetnetwork.Itprovidesnetworkadministratorswithasetoftoolstomonitor,diagnose,andtroubleshootnetworkissues.Inthispaper,wepresentamoduledesignforEthernetOAMcontrolplanebasedonIEEE802.1agandITU-TY.1731standards.Themoduledesignincludeskeyfunctionalitiessuchasconnectivityfaultmanagement(CFM),performancemonitoring(PM),andalarmsurveillance(AS).Wealsodiscusstheimplementationchallengesandpotentialsolutionsforeachfunctionality.ThedesignedmodulecanbeintegratedintoexistingEthernetswitchesorrouterstoenhancethenetwork'sreliabilityandavailability. Introduction EthernethasbecomethedominanttechnologyinLocalAreaNetworks(LANs)andWideAreaNetworks(WANs).AsEthernetnetworksgrowinsizeandcomplexity,networkadministratorsfaceincreasingchallengesinmaintainingnetworkavailabilityandreliability.EthernetOAMcontrolplaneprovidesasetoffunctionalitiestoaddressthesechallenges.Itenablesnetworkadministratorstomonitor,diagnose,andtroubleshootnetworkissuesquicklyandefficiently. TheOAMcontrolplaneisbasedontwomainstandards,IEEE802.1agandITU-TY.1731.IEEE802.1agdefinestheConnectivityFaultManagement(CFM)functionality,whichisresponsiblefordetectingandlocatingconnectivityfaultsinEthernetnetworks.ITU-TY.1731expandstheOAMcapabilitiesbyaddingPerformanceMonitoring(PM)andAlarmSurveillance(AS)functionalities.PMprovidesnetworkadministratorswithperformancemetricssuchasdelay,jitter,andpacketloss.ASrecordsandnotifiesnetworkadministratorsofnetworkfaultsandevents. ModuleDesign Inthissection,wepresentamoduledesignforEthernetOAMcontrolplanebasedonIEEE802.1agandITU-TY.1731standards.Themoduledesignincludesthreemainfunctionalities,CFM,PM,andAS. ConnectivityFaultManagement(CFM) CFMisresponsiblefordetectingandlocatingconnectivityfaultsinEthernetnetworks.Toachievethis,CFMusestwomaincomponents,ContinuityCheck(CC)andLoopback(LB).CCsendsperiodicmessagesbetweennetworkdevicestochecktheend-to-endconnectivity.LB
