Numericalsimulationisapowerfultoolforstudyingthebehaviorofwavesinawatertank.Severalnumericalmodelshavebeendevelopedforsimulatingwavepropagationinathree-dimensionalwatertank.OpenFOAMisanopen-sourceCFDsoftwarepackagethathasbeenwidelyusedinvariousfluiddynamicsapplications,includingwavepropagationstudies.OpenFOAMhasseveraladvantagesovercommercialsoftware,suchasflexibility,powerfulsolvercapabilities,andreadilyavailableuser-definedfunctions.
