Introduction Asacriticalpartofmodernautomobiles,theinstrumentsystemhasbeenconstantlyevolvingwiththedevelopmentofscienceandtechnology.Thetraditionalinstrumentsystem,whichmainlyconsistsofaspeedometer,tachometer,fuelgauge,andtemperaturegauge,hasthedisadvantageoflowinformationdensityandinconvenientreading.Withtheemergenceofnewtechnologies,thecombinationinstrumentsystembasedontheCANbushasbecomethemainstreamoftheinstrumentsysteminmodernautomobiles. TheCANbustechnology,whichwasdevelopedbyRobertBosch,ismainlyusedforthecommunicationofdatabetweendifferentcontrolunitsintheautomobilesystem.Inrecentyears,ithasbeenwidelyusedinthedesignoftheinstrumentsystemduetoitsadvantagesofhighspeed,anti-interference,andlowpowerconsumption. SystemComposition ThecombinationinstrumentsystembasedontheCANbusmainlyconsistsoftwoparts,theelectroniccontrolunit(ECU)andthedisplayinterface.TheECUisresponsibleforcollectingandprocessingvehicledata,suchasspeed,temperature,fuel,andotherinformation,andtransmittingitthroughtheCANbustothedisplayinterface.ThedisplayinterfaceisusedtodisplaytheinformationcollectedbytheECUinreal-time.Thedisplayinterfaceusuallyadoptsaliquidcrystaldisplay(LCD)orthin-filmtransistor(TFT)screen,whichcandisplayvariouskindsofinformation,suchasspeed,fuelconsumption,andgearposition.
