基于ArcGIS的地图符号库建立方法与动态符号化实现研究 Abstract ArcGISisapopularGISsoftwarewithapowerfulsymbollibrary.However,thedefaultsymbollibrarymaynotalwaysmeettheneedsofusers.Therefore,thispaperexploresthemethodsofbuildingacustomizedsymbollibraryandimplementingdynamicsymbolizationinArcGIS.Theprocessincludesselectingappropriatesymbolsfordifferenttypesofdata,creatingcustomsymbols,andusingdynamicsymbolizationtodisplaydatawithvaryingvalues.Overall,thispaperprovidesapracticalguideforuserstodeveloptheirsymbollibraryandutilizedynamicsymbolizationtoenhancemapdesign. Introduction Mapsymbolsarevitalcomponentsofcartographythatrepresentgeographicfeaturesanddataonamap.Itiscriticaltoselectappropriatesymbolsandusethemeffectivelytoconveymeaningandenhancemapcommunication.ArcGISisawidely-usedGISsoftwarethatcomeswithavastsymbollibrarytofacilitatethecreationofprofessional-qualitymaps.Nevertheless,defaultsymbolsmightnotalwaysworkforspecificapplicationsorpreferences.Therefore,ArcGISallowsuserstobuildtheirsymbollibrariesandapplythemtotheirmaps. ThispaperoutlinestheprocessofbuildinganArcGISsymbollibrary,includingselectingsymbols,creatingcustomsymbols,andutilizingdynamicsymbolization.Italsodemonstrateshowdynamicsymbolizationisusefulinrepresentingdatawithvaryingvalues,suchasnumericdataorcategoricaldatawithmultipleclasses. SelectingSymbols Thefirststepinbuildingasymbollibraryistoselectsymbolsthatmatchthedatatypeandthemessagethatonewantstoconvey.ArcGISprovidesseveraltypesofsymbols,includingpoints,lines,polygons,andtext.Eachtypeofsymbolfeaturesvariousstylesandformatsthatcanbecustomizedtomeetspecificneeds.
