六．图表分析法
图表作文要求学生首先看懂图表展示的内容，然后用图标中的数据作为论据对主题进行讨论，最后得出合乎情理的结论。
描述图表时常用的词语如下：

Notice:
图表中所给的数据一般都比较多，要抓住主要信息并加以描述。可以做首尾比较，即把时间最早的与时间最晚的信息作比较。也可以做极值比较，即把最高点与最低点作比较。图表中所给出的各种信息类别都要提到，但不一定要把每个数据都提到，甚至连一个数据不提都可以，但至少要做一个总的陈述。

Recently,astudyshowsthattherearemanycausesthataccountfortheproblem.Asillustratedinthepiechart,themajoroneiscausedbyvehicles(50%).Todaytherearemanyvehiclesontheroads.Thus,thereisalargeamountofautomobileexhaust.Factoriesarealsoresponsibleforairpollution(20%).Theygiveoffpoisonousgases.Anotherfactorthatcannotbeneglectedissmokers(15%).Smokingnotonlydoesharmtothesmokersbutalsotoothers.Itwillleadtolungcancer.Thereareothercausesthatcontributetoairpollution,too.(10%)
Ifthissituationgoeson,airpollutionmaybemoreandmoreseriousinShanghai.Therefore,somedrasticmeasuresshouldbetaken.Firstofall,newfuelwithoutpollutionmustbeusedtoreplacegasoline.Itisthemostefficientwaytosolvetheproblem.Second,peoplemustrealizetheproblemofairpollutionanddotheirbesttoalleviatetheproblem.Finally,moretreesshouldbeplantedandexistingtreesshouldbeprotectedfrombeingcut.
Thesearenottheonlythreemeasureswecantake,butitshouldbenotedthateveryoneshouldbeawareofcreatingacleanenvironment.
