Theresultsrevealedthatthebrainactivitydiffereddependingonthesituationbeingtested.Theteamfoundthatwhentheactorswereincharacter,theyusesomethird-personknowledgeorinferencesabouttheircharacter.
Theteamsaidtheyalsofoundadditionalreductioninactivityintworegionsoftheprefrontalcortex(前额皮质)linkedtothesenseofself,comparedwithwhentheactorswererespondingasthemselves.
However,PhilipDavis,aprofessorattheUniversityofLiverpool,wasunimpressedbytheresearch,sayingactingisaboutfarmorethan"pretending"tobesomeone—itinvolvesembodying(体现)thetextandlanguage.
