AstudyconductedbyRajeshetal(2016)investigatedtheeffectofatorvastatinandMSCstransplantationonheartfunction.ThestudyshowedthatatorvastatincombinedwithMSCstransplantationsignificantlyimprovedheartfunctioncomparedtothegroupthatreceivedonlyMSCstransplantation.Theimprovementinheartfunctionwasattributedtotheincreaseinthenumberofheartmusclecellsandthereductionininflammationinthehearttissue. AnotherstudyconductedbyZhangetal(2019)investigatedtheeffectofatorvastatinandMSCstransplantationonoxidativestressandinflammationintheheart.TheresultofthestudyshowedthatatorvastatinandMSCscombinationtherapysignificantlyreducedoxidativestressandinflammationinthehearttissue,whichinturnimprovedheartfunction. Furthermore,astudyconductedbyKandadietal(2015)investigatedtheeffectofatorvastatinonMSCsdifferentiationintoheartmusclecells.ThestudyshowedthatatorvastatinpromotedMSCsdifferentiationintoheartmusclecells,therebyincreasingthenumberoffunctionalheartmusclecells. Inconclusion,atorvastatincombinedwithMSCstransplantationisapromisingtherapyforheartfailure.Atorvastatinhasbeenshowntoreduceinflammation,oxidativestressandpromotethedifferentiationofMSCsintoheartmusclecells.Additionally,MSCstransplantationhasbeenshowntoimproveheartfunctionandpromotetissuerepair.Therefore,combiningthetwotreatmentsmaypotentiallyimprovethehealthoutcomesforpatientswi
