ResearchObjectives: Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheimpactofrecitationandimitationonvocationalschoolstudents'Englishwritingability.Bycomparingthewritingperformanceoftwogroupsofstudentswhoreceiveddifferentteachingmethods,thestudyaimstoprovideevidence-basedsuggestionsforEnglishwritingteachinginvocationalschools. ResearchMethods: Thisstudyisaquasi-experimentalresearchdesignwithpretest-posttestcontrolgroup.Atotalof60vocationalschoolstudentswereselectedandrandomlydividedintotwogroups:experimentalandcontrol.Bothgroupsreceivedthesamewritinginstructionoftwoweeks,buttheexperimentalgroupadditionallyengagedinrecitingandimitatingEnglisharticlesastheirsupplementaryactivities.Apretest,posttest,andquestionnairesurveywereadministeredtobothgroups.ThedatawasanalyzedbySPSSsoftware. ResearchFindings: Theresultsofthepretestshowednosignificantdifferencebetweenthetwogroupsintheirwritingability.Afterthetwoweeksofwritinginstruction,bothgroupsachievedasignificantimprovementinwritingability.However,theexperimentalgroupshowedasignificantlyhigherposttestscorethanthecontrolgroup(t=3.79,p<.01),indicatingthattherecitationandimitationactivitiescontributedtoenhancingstudents'writingability. Furthermore,thequestionnairesurveyshowedthattheexperimentalgrouphadasignificantlymorepositiveattitudetowardsEnglishlearningandperceivedthattherecitationandimitationactivitieswerehelpfulfortheirwriting.Meanwhile,thecontrolgroupshowednosignificantattitudeimprovementaftertheinstruction. Conclusion: Thepreliminaryresultsshowedthatrecitationandimitationcouldbeaneffectivemethod
