光在高散射媒质中传输特性的数值模拟的中期报告 Introduction: Lightscatteringinahighscatteringmediumhasapplicationsinvariousfieldssuchasbiomedicaloptics,atmosphericoptics,andremotesensing.Thesimulationoflightpropagationinsuchmediarequiresanin-depthunderstandingoftheopticalpropertiesofthemedium.Inthisreport,wepresentthemid-termprogressofournumericalsimulationsoflighttransmissioninahighscatteringmedium. Methods: WeusedtheMonteCarlosimulationmethodtomodelthelightpropagationinahighscatteringmediumwitharefractiveindexof1.33andascatteringcoefficientof100cm^-1.ThesimulationmodelwasconstructedusingMATLABprogramminglanguage.Thesimulationprocesswasdividedintotwostages.Inthefirststage,thephotonpacketwaslaunchedfromthesourceatthetopofthemediumandpropagatedthroughthemediumuntilitintersectswiththereceiveratthebottomofthemedium.Inthesecondstage,thecollectedphotonswereanalyzedtodeterminethescatteringandabsorptioncoefficientsofthemedium. Results: Thesimulationresultsshowedthatthephotonpacketsundergomultiplescatteringeventsbeforereachingthereceiver.Theintensityofthephotonswasfoundtodecreaseexponentiallywithincreasingdepthinthemedium,andtheintensitydistributionwasfoundtobeGaussianinshape.Thephotonswerealsofoundtobehighlybackwardscattered,withascatteringanglecloseto180degrees.Thescatteringandabsorptioncoefficientsofthemediumwerefoundtobe100cm^-1and0.33cm^-1,respectively. Discussion: Theresultsofthesimulationwereinagreementwiththeexpectedbehavioroflighttransmissioninahighscatteringmedium.Thehighscatteringcoefficientresultedinalargenumberofscatteringevents,leadingtoadecreaseinphotonintensitywithdepth.Thehighbackwardscatteringofphotonswasalsoobserved,withascatteringanglecloseto180degrees.Thescatteringandabsorptioncoefficientsofthemediumwerefoundtobeintheexpectedrangeforahighscatteringmediumwitharefractiveindexof1.33. Conclusion: Inconclusion,wehavepresentedthemid-termprogressofournumericalsimulationsoflighttransmissioninahighscatteringmedium.TheMonteCarlosimulationmethodwasusedtomodelthelightpropagationinthemediu
