Introduction: MIMO(Multiple-InputMultiple-Output)technologyrepresentsabreakthroughinmodernwirelesscommunicationsystemsbyallowingmultipleantennasatthetransmitterandreceiverendsofthewirelesschannel.MIMOtechnologyexploitsspatialdiversityandmultiplexinggainstoimprovethecapacityandreliabilityofwirelesscommunicationsystems.Space-timecodingisanimportanttechniqueusedinMIMOsystemstoexploitthespatialdiversitygainandimprovethesystemperformance.Space-timecodingusesmultipleantennastotransmitthesamedatastreamoverorthogonalchannels,reducingerrorsduetofadingandincreasingbitrate. Theobjectiveofthisresearchistoinvestigatetheperformanceofspace-timecodesinMIMOsystemsandtheirsuitabilityfordifferentMIMOconfigurations.Thestudywillfocusoncomparingtheperformanceofmultiplespace-timecodesundervarioussystemparameterssuchasthenumberofantennas,modulationscheme,channelmodels,andcodingrate.Theproposedresearchmethodologyincludesaliteraturereview,simulationsetup,andanalysisofsimulationresults. LiteratureReview: Theliteraturereviewconductedforthisresearchcoversrecentadvancementsinspace-timecodingforMIMOsystems.Thestudiesfocusedondifferentareassuchascodingtechniques,channelmodels,andperformanceevaluations.Severalstudieshaveproposedvariousspace-timecodessuchasAlamouticode,STBC(Space-TimeBlockCoding),V-BLAST(VerticalBellLabsLayeredSpace-Time),andmanyothers.Thesecodesdifferintheircomplexity,performance,andsuitabilityfordifferentMIMOconfigurations.Channelmodelshaveasignificantimpactontheperformanceofspace-timecodes.Variouschannelm
