Introduction Thecreativeindustryhasbecomeadrivingforceforeconomicgrowthandculturalinnovationinmanycitiesaroundtheworld.Itencompassesawiderangeofactivities,includingdesign,architecture,fashion,film,music,art,andmedia,andischaracterizedbyitsrelianceoncreativity,intellectualproperty,anddigitaltechnologies.Inrecentyears,thecreativeindustryhasalsotakenaleadingroleinthetransformationofoldindustrialareas,whichhaveundergonesignificantchangesfromtraditionalindustrialfunctionstocreativeandculturalactivities.Thereutilizationofoldindustrialbuildingsinthecreativeindustrynotonlypreservesthehistoricalandculturalvalueofthesebuildingsbutalsocreatesneweconomicandsocialopportunitiesforthesurroundingcommunities. However,theadaptivereuseofoldindustrialbuildingsinthecreativeindustryposessignificantchallengesrelatedtoarchitecture,urbanplanning,andheritageconservation.Oldindustrialbuildingsareoftencharacterizedbytheirmassiveandrepetitivestructures,lowfloor-to-ceilingheights,andpoorenvironmentalconditions,whicharenotsuitableformodernofficeorretailuses.Moreover,theadaptivereuseofoldindustrialbuildingsraisesissuesofheritageconservation,ashistoricbuildingsareoftensubjecttostrictpreservationregulationsandcommunityexpectations.
