ProtectionofCompanyInformation Beyondcustomerdata,theCompanykeepsandusesmanyothertypesofinformationthatit considersconfidentialandproprietary.Examplesincludefinancialdata,personneldata, marketingplans,andsoon.Managementwilldesignatewhichtypesofinformationare confidentialandproprietaryandgrantaccessonlyonaneed-to-knowbasis. •Itisyourresponsibilitytoprotectsensitiveinformationandkeepitconfidential. •Youshouldneverrevealconfidentialinformationtoanyonenotknowntoyou,ortoanyone notclearlyentitledtoit.Ifthereisanydoubt,youshouldfeelfreetorefusearequestuntil youareabletocheckwithasupervisorormanager. •Papercopiesofsensitiveinformation,suchasreportsorforms,andfloppydisksorany electronicmediashouldalsobetreatedasconfidential.Inparticular,theseshouldneverbe casuallythrownaway.Onlydisposeofpapercopiesandelectronicmediainasecuremanner. •Youalsohavetheresponsibilitytoreportanyviolationsofthesepolicies.
