Keywords:Scanner,CCD,Man-machineinterface,Multithread,MemorymanagementII ABSTRACT TheMulti-CCDscannerswhicharewidelyusedinprinting,scientificresearch, medicalandotherfieldshaveimportantapplicationsinoptical-electronic-machinery integrationequipment.Atpresent,withtherapiddevelopmentalotofindustriesneedto archivelargeformatmaterials.Therefore,thedemandforlarge-formatscanneris increasing,whilepromotingthedevelopmentandproductionoflargeformatscanners. Themainworkofthelarge-formatscanneristoconverttheanalogsignaltothedigital signalwhichthecomputercanidentifyafterconvertingtheimage'sopticalsignaltothe analogsignal.Inordertoscanlargeformatimages,aneffectiveapproachistocapture imagesthroughmultiplesensors,thensplicetheimagetocompletethelarge-format scanner'swork.ThescannerusefoursametypeCCDtocapturetheimagesthensplice themintoone.WhilethefourCCDsscanasynchronouslytoaccomplishthe photoelectricconversionintheprocess. Themainworkofthispapercanbedividedintotwoparts,hardwareandsoftware design.Thefirstpartisthehardwarework,afteranalyzingthelargeformatscanner's workingprincipleandhardwaresystem'sperformanceparametersthedevelopment contentandfocusesoftheworkoflarge-formatscannerhasbeendetermined.The deviceshavebeenselectedaccordingtotheparameters.Thenwefinishedthescanner hardwarecircuitdesignandFPGA'stimingdesignincludingthedriverand configurationofthedigital-to-analogconversionchip.Thisistheimportantfactortothe imagequality.Convertingtheopticalsignaltotheanalogsignallaidafoundationto enhanceimagequalitywhichisthekeytolarge-formatscanning.Thesecondpartis abouttheuppersoftwaresystemdevelopment.Aboutthisthepaperintroducedthe demand,thedivisionofthefunctionalmodulesofthesoftwareandthethree-tier structur
