Optimismlikesafertileland:itmakesourmindmorepure,ourwillmoreflexible.It’slikeabestfriend,toaccompanyourmercy;it’slikeaconscientiousnurse,tocherishourpatience;it’slikeagreatmother,tofeedourwisdom.Sooptimismisthebesttonicformoralandpsychical.
Solomononcesaid:“optimisticstateofmindisthemostpowerfulstimulant.”Nomatterhowdifficultthingswemeet,weshouldkeepapositiveattitude,andbelievethatalltheproblemswillbesolved.Ifweexpectgoodthingstohappen,theyusuallydo!Thereseemstobeanaturalcauseandeffectrelationshipbetweenoptimismandsuccess.
Majoraccomplishmentswillchooseanoptimisticattitudetolife.Chooseoptimismmeansyouchoosewhatwisdomandforesight,considerthesituation,fosterstrengthsandcircumventweaknesses,learnedhowtograsptheopportunity.Thereisenoughgoodandbadineveryone’slife,amplesorrowandhappiness,sufficientjoyandpain,butwehavethepowertomakedecision:wecanchooseoptimism!
Anoptimisticattitudeisnotaluxury;it’sanecessity.Thewaywelookatlifewilldeterminehowwefeel,howweperform,andhowwellwewillgetalongwithotherpeople.Conversely,negativethoughts,attitudes,andexpectationsfeedonthemselves;theybecomeaself-fulfillingprophecy.
Ibelieveintheupwardlook.Ichoosetohighlightthepositiveandsliprightoverthenegative.Iamanoptimistbychoiceasmuchasbynature.Whentheweakintrouble,theyoftenlookingforobjectivereasonstoabsolvethemselves,evenalittledifficultycantakethemdown,losetheirconfidence.Thestrongisdifferentfromtheweakbecauseoftheirstateofmind:inclusive,optimisticandupward.
Thereisnoonecanbesucceedwithoutexperiencingbumpy,eachperson’slifewillmeetdifferentcombat:failtheexam,losethejobandsoon,butwhenwedotheworthlessgroan,feelthefateofinjustice,somepeoplearesmilingtoembarkonanewjourney,andtheyarethewinnersofthefate.
OneofthethingsIammostthankfulforisthefactthatIhavegrownupinanationwithagrandtraditionofoptimism.Whentheworldisseenasahopeful,positiveplace,peopleareempoweredtoattemptandtoachieve.
