Thespokespersonpointedoutthat,uptonow,GuangdonghasreportedthreeSARScasessincetheepidemicwasdeclaredcontainedlastJuly,butnoneofthemishighlyinfectiousandrecoveredquickly.
However,thespokespersonwarnedagainstnegligenceoverthediseaseandcalledonalllevelofgovernmentstobeonhighalert,takingallkindsofmeasurestopreventanotherSARSoutbreak.
Theseason'sfirstconfirmedcase,a32-year-oldtelevisionproducer,wasreleasedfromhospitallastweek.
