http://www.paper.edu.cn GeneralPrecoderDesignforMitigationof IntercarrierInterferenceinOFDM 1 MobileSystems XiaWang*ShihuaZhu SchoolofElectronicsandInformationEngineeringSchoolofElectronicsandInformationEngineering Xi’anJiaotongUniversity,Xi’anJiaotongUniversity, Xi’an,P.R.China710049Xi’an,P.R.China710049 wangxia@mail.xjtu.edu.cnszhu@mail.xjtu.edu.cn Abstract Fororthogonalfrequency-divisionmultiplexing(OFDM)communicationsystems, thefrequencyoffsetinmobileradiochannelsdistorttheorthogonalitybetween subcarriers,whichresultsinIntercarrierInterference(ICI)andseriouslydegradesthe performanceofsystems.Inthispaper,basedonICIcoefficientsanalysis,anovel precoderdesignschemeisproposedformitigationofICIinOFDMmobilesystems.In thistechnique,precodermatrixisdesignedbythewayoflinearcombination, counteractionandinsertedintheformeroftransmittersignal,thereceivedsignalscan belinearrecoveredwithoutbandwidthefficiencyreduced.BERperformancesare analyzedfortheproposedscheme.Computersimulationresultsshowthatthisnew schemecaneffectivelyreduceICIandsignificantlyprovidethecarrier-interference powerratioimprovement.ComparedwithexistingICImitigationschemeswith channelestimation,theproposedschemehaslowercomputationalcomplexity,and comparedwithself-cancellationscheme,thebandwidthefficiencycanbeimprovedin thisproposedscheme.Theproposedschemehasalsobetterconvergencestabilityfor time-varyingfrequencyselectivefadingchannel.
