InspiteofanattempttoreducetheamountofSO2andNOxemitted,thedensityofSO2andNOxinthe atmospherehasremainedonastablelevel,orevenbecomeworse.Here,wedesignedanoveltypeofawater filmcoronadischargeexperimentmodel.Thereactoriscomposedofneedle-plateelectrodesthatareplacedina glasscontainerfilledwiththefluegas,(theplateelectrodeisimmersedinthewater).Inthispaper,we emphasizedonstudyingtheinfluenceofwateronremovalratesofNOandSO2.Theexperimentalresultsshow thatthecoronawindformingbetweenhigh-voltageelectrodeandwaterfilmbycoronadischargeenhancesthe cleaningefficiencyofthefluegasbecauseoftheexistenceofthewaterfilm,andthecleaningefficiencywill increasewiththeincreaseofDCappliedvoltagewithindefiniterange.Accordingtothiseffectawaterfilm electricalcoronareactordesignedisusedtotreatthesimulatefluegas,andtheresultshowsitnotonlygainsthe removalefficiencyofSO2upto98%,butalsogainsabout85%ofNOxremovalundersuitableconditions.This projectisverysignificantforthepreventionofacidrainandthetreatmentofdustoffluegasandthe improvementonthetraditionalElectrostaticPrecipitator.
