Ithinkstudentsshouldbeinchargeofdecidingwhichstudentorganizations(for
example,thejazzbandorthehikingclub)receivemoneyfromtheuniversity.Students
shouldalsobeinchargeofhowmuchmoneyeachorganizationreceives.Aspecial
committeemadeupofstudentscouldbecreatedtomakethesedecisions.Currently,
thesefundingdecisionsaremadebyuniversityadministrators,butastudent
committeewouldknowbetterthantheadministratorswhichorganizationsaremost
importanttostudentsandmostdeservingoftheuniversity'sfinancialsupport.I’m
surealotofstudentswouldbeinterestedinservingonthecommittee,andthose
whodoservewillgainvaluableleadershipexperience.

Man：Well,becausestudentsaredirectlyinvolvedinthegroups,theycan'tbe
asobjective,asfairasadministrators.Imean,whatwillpreventstudentsonthe

they'reinthemselves.Ithinkhavingtheuniversityadministratorsmakethe

Man：Well,that'sanotherthing.Ithinkthey'dhaveahardtimefindingstudents
toserveonit.Imean,therearealreadyanumberofleadershippositionsopenin
