Thisemphasisontreatmentisclearlyassociatedwiththetechnologicaladvancesthathavetakenplaceinthepasttentofifteenyears.Inthistime,moderntechnologyhasenableddoctorstodevelopnewsurgicaltechniquesandprocedures.ManyopeationsthatwereconsideredimpossibleafewyearsagoarenowperformedeverydayinU.S.hospitals.Theresulthasbeenarapidincreaseinheartsurgery.
