摘要
本文旨在研究外商直接投资对中国东西部地区经济增长差异的影响。通过收集2005年至2019年各省市的相关数据，采用多元回归模型分析了外商直接投资、人力资本、技术水平、基础设施建设、政府支持等因素对东西部地区经济增长的影响。研究发现，外商直接投资对东西部地区的经济增长产生了不同的影响，且东部地区相比西部地区更受益。本文建议政府应该关注西部地区的发展，加强基础设施建设和技术水平提升，以优化外商直接投资的配置和促进更加均衡的经济发展。

Abstract
ThispaperaimstostudytheimpactofforeigndirectinvestmentontheeconomicgrowthdifferencebetweentheeasternandwesternregionsofChina.Bycollectingdatafromvariousprovincesandcitiesfrom2005to2019,amultipleregressionmodelwasusedtoanalyzetheeffectsofforeigndirectinvestment,humancapital,technologylevel,infrastructureconstruction,andgovernmentsupportontheeconomicgrowthoftheeasternandwesternregions.Thestudyfoundthatforeigndirectinvestmenthasdifferentimpactsoneconomicgrowthintheeasternandwesternregions,withtheeasternregionbenefitingmorethanthewesternregion.Thepapersuggeststhatthegovernmentshouldpayattentiontothedevelopmentofthewesternregion,strengtheninfrastructureconstructionandtechnologylevel,optimizetheallocationofforeigndirectinvestment,andpromotemorebalancedeconomicdevelopment.

1.Introduction
Foreigndirectinvestment(FDI)hasbecomeanessentialdriverofeconomicgrowthinChinaoverthepastseveraldecades.SincetheintroductionofChina'sreformandopening-uppoliciesinthelate1970s,FDIhasgrownsteadilyandsignificantly.AccordingtothedatafromtheNationalBureauofStatisticsofChina,theaccumulatedFDIhadreachedUS$2.1trillionbytheendof2019,makingChinaoneofthetopdestinationsforFDIintheworld.Asanimportantsourceofcapital,technology,managementknowledge,andmarketaccess,FDIisexpectedtohaveasignificantimpactoneconomicgrowth,employment,andincomedistributioninthehostcountry(Borenszteinetal.,1998;DeMelloJr.,1999).
